Fostering Halal awareness among executive teams – one step closer to stronger internal compliance.

📌 Overview

On 23 January 2025, UHAC successfully conducted the fourth series of Halal Awareness In-House Training at Central Sugars Refinery Sdn. Bhd., Shah Alam.

This round welcomed 30 executive-level participants, reflecting the company’s strong commitment to ensuring all staff across every level understand the importance of Halal integrity in their operations.

This training is in line with the mandatory requirement by JAKIM, where Halal Awareness Training must be attended every three (3) years by all staff involved in Halal-critical areas such as production, procurement, and warehousing.

The session was conducted by UHAC, a registered Halal training provider recognized for delivering certified and industry-aligned programs.

Regulatory Compliance

According to the Malaysian Halal Certification Procedure Manual (Domestic) 2020, companies pursuing or maintaining JAKIM Halal Certification must ensure all relevant staff—particularly those in Halal-critical functions—complete Halal Awareness Training once every three years, delivered by an authorized Halal training provider.
