Continuing the journey of Halal excellence through structured staff awareness and compliance training.

📌 Overview

On 21 January 2025, UHAC conducted the third batch of Halal Awareness In-House Training for CSR Sugar Refinery, as part of the company’s strategic compliance program.

A total of 32 participants from various operational units took part in this one-day session, which was delivered by experienced Halal trainer Pn. Natrah Azama.

This training plays a crucial role in ensuring CSR Sugar Refinery continues to uphold the highest standards in Halal integrity, aligning with the Malaysian Halal Certification Procedure Manual (Domestik) 2020, which mandates Halal Awareness Training to be conducted once every three (3) years for all staff involved in Halal-critical areas.

This session was conducted to:

  • Comply with JAKIM’s Halal Certification requirements

  • Educate staff on the fundamental principles of Halal and Haram in Islamic law

  • Promote internal awareness of Halal Assurance responsibilities

  • Empower team members to identify and manage Halal-related risks in operations
