📌 Overview

On 20 January 2025, UHAC successfully delivered its second batch of Halal Awareness In-House Training for CSR Sugar Refinery, involving 32 participants from various operational departments.

The one-day session was led by Ustaz Muhamad Elyas Harun, an esteemed Halal industry trainer known for his impactful and relatable delivery.

This initiative was part of CSR’s continuous effort to strengthen their internal Halal compliance and ensure that all team members—particularly those directly involved in production and logistics—fully understand their roles in supporting the company’s Halal commitment.

This training was structured to:

  • Fulfill mandatory Halal Awareness Training as required under JAKIM’s Halal Certification Scheme.

  • Equip staff with a clear understanding of Halal and Haram concepts in the industrial context.

  • Align internal procedures with Malaysian Halal Standard MS1500:2019 and certification expectations.
