UHAC Successfully Conducted HACCP Training for KOPETRO

On 15 February 2025, UNITI Halal Centre (UHAC) successfully organized the HACCP Understanding & Implementing Training for employees of KOPETRO Group, including its subsidiaries KFSB (KOPETRO Food), KCSB, KTSB, and KMSSB.
This 1-day (7-hour) competency-based program provided participants with a solid understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) in food safety and quality management. The training covered:
- Introduction to HACCP & its significance
- Importance of HACCP Prerequisite Programs
- Hazard Identification & Development of HACCP
- The 7 Principles of HACCP and Implementation
- MS1480:2019 Requirements
- HACCP Certification Process
The session was designed for QA/QC personnel, production managers, food handlers, procurement executives, and operational leaders across KOPETRO’s food and shared services divisions.
Participants
A total of 30 participants from multiple departments attended, including:
- Food & Beverage Operations (KFSB, KCSB) – Executive Chefs, Production Managers, Quality Control Supervisors, and Storekeepers.
- Shared Services (KMSSB) – HSQA Managers, QAQC Executives, and HR personnel.
- Sales & Marketing (KTSB) – Sales Managers and Executives.
Impact & Outcome
Through this training, KOPETRO’s team is now better equipped to:
- Describe the concept and purpose of HACCP in food safety management.
- Explain the importance of HACCP Prerequisite Programs.
- Identify different types of hazards.
- Implement HACCP principles to ensure compliance and safe food production.
