📌 Overview

On 6 January 2025, UNITI Halal Centre (UHAC) successfully conducted a Public Halal Awareness Training via Online, attended by 29 participants from diverse backgrounds.
The one-day training aimed to instill fundamental knowledge of Halal principles in line with JAKIM’s guidelines and current industry needs.

🎯 Training Objectives

This foundational program was designed to:

  • Increase awareness of Halal principles and their significance in daily life and business.

  • Educate participants about Halal and Haram concepts in Islam.

  • Introduce the basic framework of Malaysia’s Halal certification process.

  • Prepare individuals and organizations for further Halal-related compliance training.

Participants were introduced to essential topics such as:

  • The Concept of Halal & Haram in Islam

  • Halal Assurance and Halal Ecosystem in Malaysia

  • Overview of MS1500:2019 (Malaysian Halal Standard for Food)

  • Halal Certification Process and Common Pitfalls

The session was conducted by Ustaz Muhamad Elyas Harun, a renowned Halal industry trainer and Director and Lead Trainer at Uniti Halal Centre (UHAC). With years of experience delivering impactful Halal training sessions across Malaysia, Ustaz Elyas brought clarity, depth, and real-world relevance to the training.

Participants who completed the training received a Certificate of Participation from UHAC, further empowering them to contribute toward a more Halal-conscious society and workplace.
